Artistic Etchings!

One of my favourite Stampin'Up stamp sets is the "Artistic Etchings" set. It is so versatile, and if you are like me and love all things vintage and grungy than this is the set for you!

This card was inspired by one I saw at regional training earlier in the year. I loved it so much that I wanted to try and create one in a similar style.

To make this card I used Basic Black cradstock for the card base and then layered a piece from the Designer Series Paper "Newsprint" which I stamped with the medallion stamp from the set in Basic Black and Real Red Classic Stamp Pads. I then stamped the medallion image again onto Whisper Whiter card in Real Red ink, stamped "Amour" on top of the bottom right medallion in Basic Black and matted it with Basic Black Card and adhered centrally to the card base with Snail adhesive. I stamped the Effiel Tower and Crown images in Basic Black onto Whisper White card and cut them out and adhered them to the card front as shown. I then embellished the card with Basic Rhinestones for some bling and Voila! A really classy card!

It's Nice to be Patriotic!

I have been noticing that 'tis the season to be patriotic! By that I mean that it seems to have become trendy to incorporate the Union Jack into current fashion trends, especially home decor, and this includes papercrafting!

To this end I have created a "Union Jack" card that incorporates the beautiful Designer Series Paper Pack "Springtime Vintage" along with the gorgeous
"Champagne Glass Glitter" and my all time favourite stamp set "Artistic Etchings"!
Hope you all like it and I look forward to sharing another creation with you soon.

Sincerely Yours Edinburgh

My how time flies, especially when you are having fun! I can't believe it has been a week since the Sincerely Yours craft show in Edinburgh. It was a very successful event with more people coming through the doors than the organisers had expected, much to every ones pleasure. We all had a fab time and just loved meeting you all and taking part in the make'n'takes and chatting to you whilst demo'ing our lovely products. We hope that you all had a very enjoyable day out and found everything you were looking for!

Now for the best bit some piccies! I will put in some more of my samples that I made for the show and some photos of us all setting the stand up and having a ball on the Saturday. I tell you I could do that all day every day!The fun and games of getting all our numerous, and it has to be said in regards to the samples the other girls made, GORGEOUS samples out and the stand set up! I must say I was really impressed with how the stand looked once we had finished setting up. The girls getting our pep talk from our up-line manager! We were all starting to get a wee bit excited now! This sample was made using two of the hostess gifts stamps sets along with some card stock from the brights and neutrals pack. This card is made with my favourite stamp set of all, Artistic Etchings, along with French script background stamp and some designer paper.

Head Down, Bottom Up!

Myself and a few other Stampin'up demonstrators are manning (or in our case "womanning"! lol!) a Stampin'up stand at the upcoming Sincerely Yours show in Edinburgh on the 30th April. So I am busy making samples to take along with us as well, as the other bits and pieces you need at an event like this. Thus the title "Head Down, Bottom Up!" as this is exactly what I should be doing right now, but I have a bad chest infection so I am struggling a bit, but this is what I have come up with so far............... This was the make and take that we made at the regional training day and uses the new Top Note die, large butterfly punch, ribbons, brads, gems and "Chocolate Chip" and "Pumpkin Pie" cardstock to create a business card folder. The next card I have made using the "Trendy Trees" stamp set and the "Stamp-a-ma-jig" in order to position the stamps accurately in this two-stamp techniqueI used "Old Olive" and "Chocolate Chip" Classic Inks to stamp this image and distress the edges, mounted it on "Old Olive" cardstock and popped it on a "Whisper White" notecard.
This card uses the colour combination of "Elegant Eggplant" and "Pumpkin Pie" in plain cardstock and patterned paper, tags and paper ribbon. I used the "Garden Whimsy" stamp set and created the subtle background by stamping the smaller butterfly in the same coloured ink as card. The tag was attached with dimensionals and a silver clip added to embellish.

This was another card that I made at the regional training day. This card used the new Stampin' Around wheel called the "Builder Wheel" in two of the three new patterns, "Candle Crazy" and "Birthday". It was stamped with "old Olive ink on "Whisper White" card and layered on "Melon Mambo" and "Night of Navy". it was embellished with a large buterfly punch, gems and ribbon.

Well, I am happy with what I have made so far but time is running out so I need to do what the label says and get into action. Thank goodness we have each other to help. I don't know how you would do it all by yourself! so, if you are in Edinburgh on the 30th April from 10am until 4:30 pm and looking for something to do why not come out to the Edinburgh Indoor Climbing Arena and say hi. I look forward to seeing you there and sharing the Stampin'up dream.

The Dream is Stampin'up

Stampin'up is a family owned and run crafting campany that specialises in papercrafting and all that is required to create beautiful cards, scrapbook pages and 3d projects.

The way stampin'up works is that they have independent demonstrators that hold home partys to introduce people to the products and help people get more crafty.

I decided to become a demonstrator because I love to craft and I want to share this passion with as many people as I can. I also joined because I love Stampin'up products! The range of stamps, inks, and cardstock is superb and the quality is second to none!

So if you want to find out more about Stampin'up and their product range I would love to share with you my passion for papercrafting (and especially with these products) then get in contact with me and we can orgainze a party.

Regional Training Edinburgh 2011

Last Friday was the Regional Training day 2011 for Edinburgh. This is where we as demonstrators go to learn about the new products that are available, get ideas for using these products and promoting the business and most importantly meet the other local demonstrators! It was a great day and I really enjoyed meeting fellow demonstrators and exchanging our swaps! Everyone is so talented and it gives you such great inspiration for using the lovely products of Stampin'up. I am including some photos of my favourite samples for you to puruse and hope that it gives you some inspiration too.
